Helping you to deal with life's challenges and uncertainties
About Me...
Making a difference to the lives of others is important to me. I am warm, caring, compassionate, and genuinely enjoy supporting others, especially seeing the improvements people make in their lives as a result of therapy. Whatever difficulties you are facing, I can offer you a quiet, reflective space and support you to understand your thoughts and emotions, discuss your problems, choices or options open to you, so you find new ways to cope and feel more positive about the future.
I work in private practice as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist from my private rooms located close to Bishops Stortford, Great Dunmow and Stansted Airport. As well as working in private practice, I have experience of working as a therapist with the NHS and other organisations providing therapeutic support to children, adolescents, adults and family therapy.
I am an Accredited member of the National Counselling Society and MBACP. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Practice, Certificate in Child Counselling and I am a qualified and accredited Hypnotherapist. I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, which means that I am able to work from a number of different theoretical frameworks and adapt my skills and training to your individual needs. I can work with you on either a short-term or long-term basis, supporting you to make changes to your current life or work through past pain.
I work with adults individually and within couples therapy where both partners attend to explore relationship issues and build a more fulfilling and positive relationship.
I can also work to support family relationships, for example supporting the parent/child relationship, improving communication and ways of relating with each other so that you can agree boundaries, behaviours and enjoy the time you spend together.
What is Counselling?
Counselling sessions provide a safe and confidential space to explore your difficulties and challenges. Working together will help to identify new perspectives and gain a greater understanding which will help formulate a strategy for making your life better. The answer is in all of us, counselling can help you find it.

What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy may be used as as a single therapy to treat many issues including weight loss, quitting smoking, fears, phobias, insomnia, controlling pain and to help improve self-esteem, confidence and motivation. Hypnotherapy can also be used alongside counselling and is effective in treating a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, abuse, anger management, bereavement, illnesses and disabilities.

“Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life.”
